Repositioning MCIS Insurance Berhad - New Face, New Plans & The New Future of MCIS Insurance
MCIS Insurance Berhad (MCIS Insurance) has been gearing towards
major changes since the start of this year with the new leadership as well as
enhanced strategies.
At the helm since mid-March of 2019, the company has appointed
41-year old Prasheem Seebran, hailing from South Africa, as its Chief Executive
Officer and Managing Director. An Actuary with 20 years of global experience in
the Financial Services Industry, Prasheem has led and developed several high
performance teams in the insurance sector.

With a track record for innovation, including a number of firsts
in South Africa, Prasheem has overseen projects that have led to optimisation of
results in insurance companies.
Described as an energetic idealist who is driven by the infinite
possibilities and opportunities in the financial service industry, Prasheem
said “I am very proud and honoured that the board has the confidence in me to
share the vision I put forward. The team now is really focused on building
ourselves towards the age of digitisation and to transform our culture into one
that is nimble and agile.”
“As a member of the Board since 2016, I have been part of the
process, working alongside the former CEO of MCIS Insurance as well as Sanlam
Group, on determining the strategy and setting of goals and targets, with a
road map being created for implementation of MCIS Insurance’s growth plans. There
are many initiatives in the pipeline and key among that includes our corporate
rebranding exercise planned for the 4th quarter of the year,” he continued.

The further complement and kick start the repositioning of the
MCIS Insurance business model, the company has also begun working with radio influencers,
the dynamic brothers; Ram and Aanantha of Raaga (Astro’s leading Tamil radio
station). The brothers, who were on a
short break since December 2018, are back again on the airwaves since 7 April
2019, hosting a new weekend program.
The show which is line with the brand
promise of People Helping People, centres on two (2) core aspirations:
1. cultivating the importance of financial empowerment through
life insurance protection; and
2. creating awareness around the rewarding career opportunities as
authorised life insurance agents of MCIS Insurance.
MCIS Insurance will be working with more influencers and key
opinion leaders in the month to come to mark its rebranding efforts.
